Bitcoin Tests $80,000 as BNB, HYPE and ADA Near Key Support Levels

Bitcoin is testing $80, 000 as BNB, HYPE and ADA hover near chart-defined support zones. All four are below nearby moving averages, pointing to short-term weakness. But subdued or inconclusive volume in several cases makes it hard to argue that selling has been forceful.

  • BTC: Near $80, 000, with a cited support zone at $77, 000-$78, 000.
  • BNB: Watching support around $700.
  • HYPE: Testing the $75-$77 area.
  • ADA: Needs to hold around $0.215-$0.220.

U.Today’s October 16 technical analysis outlined possible rebound and downside levels for Bitcoin (BTC), Binance Coin (BNB), Hyperliquid (HYPE) and Cardano (ADA). These are chart-based scenarios, not confirmed outcomes or reliable price forecasts.

A moving average tracks the average price over a set period. Traders often watch these lines for possible support or resistance, but they are not price floors or ceilings. Support is an area where buyers may emerge. Resistance is where selling may slow a rise. Neither is guaranteed to hold.

Bitcoin: The $80, 000 test

U.Today put BTC near $80, 100, down about 1.8% on the day, after it touched a low of $80, 000. The price was around its 50-day moving average near $80, 300 and below other cited averages near $81, 200 and $82, 400.

Bitcoin climbed from about $63, 000 in August to nearly $87, 500 in late September, then pulled back roughly 8% from that high. U.Today noted that recent declining candles came without heavy volume. That may mean the sell-off has not been especially forceful, but it does not show that a bottom is in.

If BTC holds near $80, 000 and gets back above $82, 400, the analysis identifies $84, 000 as the next level to watch, followed by the previous high near $87, 500. A break below $80, 000 on rising volume could put the $77, 000-$78, 000 area in focus. The 100-day and 200-day averages were near $76, 600 and $75, 600, respectively.

BNB: Support near $700

BNB was near $717, down about 1.2% on the day, after reaching $708.89. U.Today identified $700 as the main nearby support, alongside the 100-day moving average. The price was about 2.5% above that level. The 200-day average was near $686.

BNB rose from approximately $540 in late June to around $810 in early October, a gain of about 50%, before falling roughly 11%. Moving averages between $733 and $750 were cited as possible resistance. Its Relative Strength Index (RSI), a momentum indicator, was near 38. U.Today described that as weak but not oversold.

A rebound would first need to clear $735, then $750. Higher levels to watch are $780 and $810. A daily close below $700, meaning a close beneath that price at the end of the daily candle, could bring $686 into view. If selling accelerates, $660 is another possible support area, not a guaranteed destination. U.Today said September lows near $705 had been bought quickly, but thin volume data on the BNB chart makes it difficult to judge current selling pressure.

HYPE: Rally gives way to a support test

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token was near $77.80, down about 4% on the day. Its daily candle opened at $80.85 and reached $77.56. After rising from roughly $51 in early August to nearly $98 in late September, HYPE had fallen about 20% from its peak.

The token was below its 50-day moving average near $83 and other cited averages around $84-$86. Its 100-day average was near $77, making $75-$77 the support zone U.Today highlighted. HYPE held a dip near $75 in mid-September, but one previous bounce does not guarantee another.

Volume had shrunk during the decline, and U.Today also described trading as light during rebounds. That leaves little evidence of strong buying interest. A daily close below $75 could put the 200-day average near $64.50 in view as a possible next area, though it is neither an immediate nor certain target. On the upside, $83, $86 and $90 are hurdles to watch before the previous high near $98 comes back into view.

ADA: Pressure around $0.22

Cardano’s ADA was near $0.219, down about 5% on the day, after opening at $0.2303 and reaching $0.2159. It had slipped below the 50-day moving average near $0.230 and was testing the 100-day average around $0.220.

ADA rose from about $0.14 in June to nearly $0.282 in early October, roughly doubling, before retreating about 22%. U.Today said ADA had failed several times to close above its 200-day moving average near $0.241. RSI was near 40. Trading volume rose during the early-October decline, but U.Today described it as moderate rather than panic-driven.

The immediate question is whether ADA can hold $0.215-$0.220. Reclaiming $0.230 would be an initial positive signal. A close above $0.241 would offer stronger evidence of improvement, with $0.260 the next cited level. If ADA closes below the 100-day average, U.Today identified $0.200 and then $0.190 as possible support areas.

The analysis linked ADA’s weakness to a broader market pullback, including Bitcoin’s proximity to $80, 000. That provides context, but it does not prove Bitcoin alone caused ADA’s decline. A separate Cardano community discussion asks what Cardano has to offer alongside competing ecosystems.

Key questions and answers

  • Are buyers back in control?

That is still unclear. All four assets are below nearby moving averages and testing support. The volume data does not consistently point to forceful selling.

  • What would strengthen the case for a rebound?

BTC getting back above $82, 400, BNB clearing $735 and then $750, HYPE recovering above $83, and ADA regaining $0.230 would be initial positive signs. None would confirm a sustained reversal.

  • What are the main downside levels?

The cited areas are $77, 000-$78, 000 for BTC; $686 for BNB after a close below $700, with $660 possible if selling accelerates; the 200-day average near $64.50 for HYPE if it closes below $75; and $0.200, then $0.190, for ADA if its support gives way.

  • Does the volume show panic selling?

Not clearly. U.Today said BTC’s recent declines lacked heavy volume, HYPE’s volume fell during its pullback, and ADA’s was moderate. The BNB chart’s volume data was too thin for a confident assessment.

U.Today’s page dates the analysis October 16 but does not specify the year, exact observation time, exchange or price-data provider. Treat the figures as a snapshot, not live market data. Moving averages, RSI and support zones can help traders frame scenarios, but they cannot make a volatile market behave.
